In this full-day pre-conference session you'll learn everything there is to know about what's new, improved & changed that for developers need to know in the most recent release of SharePoint, SharePoint 2013. We'll explore what's new with the developer tools in Visual Studio 2012 & SharePoint Designer 2012 as well as the options available for customization. These include traditional solutions as well as the new SharePoint App Model. We'll also explore improvements to the new APIs in the Client Side Object Model (CSOM) & REST and things that support the new app model such as OAuth, S2S and Remote Event Receivers. In addition we'll also cover the significant changes to the workflow architecture and how to build custom workflows using both SharePoint Designer 2012 and Visual Studio 2012. Finally we'll look at what's new with respect to Business Connectivity Services (BCS) and discuss some of the major changes to things like Web Content Management, Enterprise Content Management & Search.
